Royal Credit Union - APPLE VALLEY, Minn. – Royal Credit Union (Royal) will be hosting shred events at several Royal offices during the month of September. Shred days are an opportunity for Members and the general public to properly dispose of their personal documents and files for free. Royal is partnering with two document management and destruction companies, Veteran Shredding and Merrick, Inc., to safely dispose of documents. This fall, Royal will be offering both drive-up and drop-off events. Drive-up events will be held in the parking lots of our offices; attendees will drive through the line and Royal team members will unload their items for them. At drop-off events, attendees can bring their shred into the office during regular lobby hours and place their shred into secured bins. A limit of two brown paper grocery bags or one file-sized box per car will be enforced at all events to ensure everyone has a chance to shred their most critical documents. It is recommended to limit the documents you bring to those that contain confidential information such as social security numbers, financial account numbers, or other secure information. Acceptable items to shred include personal records, bills, receipts, bound paper, and file folders. Royal’s core purpose is to create a positive impact in the lives they touch. Because of this, Shred Days are free and open to all community members. By bringing your confidential items to a Royal Credit Union Shred Day event, you gain peace of mind knowing that your documents are being securely destroyed.
