Falcon Heights, MN - On Sunday, the Star Tribune announced that SPIRE Credit Union has been voted Minnesota's Best in the credit union, mortgage, wealth management, customer service, and customer service-financial services categories. The Star Tribune Reader's Choice Award program recognizes the three best businesses in 370 categories. Over 6,600 businesses were nominated and 1,025,000 votes were cast. Minnesota's Best Credit Union (Gold Award) SPIRE is the fourth largest credit union in Minnesota with $2.1 billion in assets, 22 branches across Minnesota, and serves over 158,000 members. This is the third year SPIRE has been awarded Minnesota's Best in the credit union category and the second time it has been the gold winner. Minnesota's Best Home Mortgage (Gold Award) Nominees in the Home Mortgage category include all financial institutions operating in Minnesota including banks, fintechs, credit unions, and other mortgage lenders. This is the second year SPIRE has been recognized as a gold winner for Minnesota's Best Home Mortgage. Minnesota's Best Customer Service (Silver Award) Nominees in the customer service category represent industries from all categories and SPIRE is proud to have been awarded the silver winner for two consecutive years. In 2021, SPIRE was also voted the bronze winner in this category.
