EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – Royal Credit Union (Royal) held its 59th Annual Meeting on Tuesday, April 25, at Royal’s Corporate Center. Two board members were re-elected to three-year terms— Nancy Beltz and Tom Huffcutt. Beltz was elected to Royal Credit Union’s Board of Directors in 1999. She currently serves on the Finance Committee and is past Chair of the Audit Committee. Huffcutt has served on the board since 2013. He currently serves as Chairperson of Royal Credit Union’s Board of Directors and the Compensation/Governance and Political Action Committees. Previously, he served on the Finance Committee and Audit Committee. Huffcutt also served on Royal Credit Union’s Nominating Committee for four years. At the Reorganization Meeting, Tom Huffcutt was elected Chairman; Stuart Schaefer was elected Vice Chairman; Doug Olson was elected Treasurer; and Jennifer McDonough was elected Secretary. John Sackett, Nancy Beltz, and Bill Blackburn serve as Directors. In his Chairperson’s report, Huffcutt recognized that Royal’s Members are the reason for the credit union’s success and thanked them for creating a positive impact. Huffcutt shared he is proud of the value Royal brings to its Members and communities and is excited that Royal is now able to serve many more people throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota as result of recent mergers, acquisitions and expansions in field of membership. Huffcutt assured Members that Royal is a strong, financially safe and sound institution that is prepared to assist its Members and the communities it serves in navigating these challenging financial times. Huffcutt shared Royal’s accomplishments over the past year, and below are a few highlights: Royal opened new offices in downtown Eau Claire, Wisconsin; Altoona, Wisconsin; and St. Paul, Minnesota. These offices offer the latest technology and additional convenience for Members. Royal welcomed new Members from the Deerwood Bank, Lake Area Bank, and Lake Area Mortgage acquisitions. These acquisitions expanded Royal’s presence in Minnesota to Inver Grove Heights, Hugo, White Bear Lake, and Arden Hills. This also allowed Royal to relocate our Stillwater office to a new location. More than 7,000 people of all ages participated in Royal’s signature financial education programs. Royal launched a brand-new program called Grow. Impact. Lead, which offers young adults the opportunity to network with local professionals, participate in community service, and receive financial education. In 2022, the RCU Foundation contributed $1.2 million to local communities, bringing the Foundations total commitment since it began in 2012 to over $7 million. Royal is proud to have served its Members and created a positive impact during 2022.
