ONALASKA, Wis. – Altra Federal Credit Union will host a free financial education seminar to help attendees protect themselves against criminals on Tuesday, October 25 from 6:00 to 7:00pm at their office located at 3833 Cascade Creek Rd. NW in Rochester. The seminar will educate attendees on ways to recognize scams and be proactive when protecting their accounts online and on social media as well as provide resources for victims of fraud. “Being a victim of fraud can be frightening, but you don't have to be afraid if you know how to protect yourself,” said Tony Beyer, Financial Wellness Coordinator at Altra Federal Credit Union. “Our free session will cover the many ways criminals try to steal your information and hard-earned money.” The event is free, but registration is required. Space is limited so register online at www.altra.org by October 24, 2022. Altra membership is not required, and attendees can register for door prizes.
