Falcon Heights, MN – Blaze Credit Union Foundation announced that 14 local Twin Cities non-profits were the recipients of the Foundation’s Community Impact Grants for 2024. The Foundation awarded grants totaling $125,000 with individual grants ranging from $500 to $10,000. “Our Community Impact Grants were designed to amplify the work of innovative, local non-profits whose mission closely aligns with that of the Foundation,” said Christine Cordell, Blaze Credit Union SVP, Chief Project and Learning Officer and Blaze Foundation’s Board Chair. “We are honored to support the incredible work of some amazing non-profits through this grant initiative.” This year’s Blaze Community Impact Grants were awarded to: Cars for Neighbors, Inc. Construction Careers Foundation East Side Learning Center Hmong Early Childhood Coalition Model Cities Our Saviour's Community Services PRISM Saint Paul Public Schools Small Sums The Open Door Think Small Tree Trust Western Communities Action Network White Bear Area Food Shelf Cordell added, “These organizations are making meaningful contributions to our communities. By empowering them with this funding, we are investing in ideas and programs that have the potential to create lasting, positive change. We believe that together, we can build a stronger, more resilient community and we look forward to seeing the inspiring impact of these projects as they unfold.” The Blaze Foundation Community Impact Grants are designated for charitable organizations whose work closely aligns with at least one of the Blaze Foundation’s five priority funding focus areas: Community and Economic Development Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Housing Hunger Relief and Healthy Eating Programs Informal Education - Supporting life skills & financial well-being for all Applications were reviewed on a rolling basis and grants were awarded based on the applicant’s potential community impact and the organization's eligibility and needs.
