(SAINT PAUL, Minn) - The Minnesota Credit Union Foundation (MnCUF) and TruStone Financial Credit Union are proud to recognize Tim Bosiacki as a CU Builder Award recipient for his service to the credit union movement. Bosiacki, TruStone Financial’s CEO for the past 10 years, retired in January of 2021. When Bosiacki joined the credit union, it had five branches and about 60,000 members. Upon merging with Firefly Credit Union in December, TruStone Financial became the second largest credit union in Minnesota, and among the top 100 in the nation. Under Bosiacki’s leadership, TruStone was named one of the 50 top-performing U.S. Credit Unions in 2019 by S&P Global Market Intelligence and a Best-In-State credit union by Forbes magazine in 2020. Created in 2008, the Credit Union Builder Award honors an individual’s dedication to the success, growth, and vitality of the not-for-profit financial movement in Minnesota. Dedications are typically made at a time of significance to acknowledge an individual’s contributions to credit unions. In total, 77 individuals have been designated as Credit Union Builders over the past nine years. The names of the recipients and the contributing credit unions are permanently displayed in the Minnesota Credit Union Network’s lobby as a tribute to those who have dedicated time and energy to building the credit union movement. Focused on financial education and professional development initiatives, the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation is dedicated to providing the resources for credit unions and communities to prosper and thrive. MnCUF is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1969 that serves as a charitable arm of the Minnesota credit union movement. For more information, www.mncun.org/foundation
