EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – Join the hunt for a chance to win $500 while exploring the outdoors. The RCU Foundation has held a rock hunt as part of the Rock the Riverfront featuring the Charity Classic event since 2017 – And it is back again! The Classic Rock Hunt is sponsored by Market & Johnson and will start on June 17, 2024. Clues will be posted at a charity partner or sponsor location by 10 a.m. each day and then on the Royal Credit Union Facebook page at 8 p.m. each evening. The rock could be hidden in any of the counties where the partner charities are located. The first person to find the Classic Rock will win the $500 cash prize. Rock the Riverfront featuring the Charity Classic is celebrating 30 years of running and walking to support organizations that make a difference in the communities that Royal Credit Union serves. The event will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, in Eau Claire’s Phoenix Park and includes a 10K and 2 mile run/walk, ½ and ¼ mile youth races, family games, and food trucks. Proceeds from the 2024 Rock the Riverfront event will benefit three local animal rescue organizations: Chippewa Humane Association, Dunn County Humane Society, and Eau Claire County Humane Association.
