Coon Rapids, MN – Community-based Anoka Hennepin Credit Union hosted its annual Giving Tree homeless youth donation drive in November & December 2023. The drive benefitted two non-profit organizations, Hope4Youth, and Avenues 4 Youth, pillars of good in local homeless youth communities. During the drive, AHCU members and employees generously donated to the non-profit's most needed items, such as various hygiene items, new clothing, diapers, phone chargers, and much more. In total, AHCU collected numerous hygiene and other personal care items and almost $800 in local gift cards. AHCU's Giving Tree youth homeless donation drive was created to embrace the spirit of giving during the unusually challenging time the holidays bring for locally struggling Youth. With more than 6,000 homeless youth on any given night in Minnesota, community support is the social driver behind ending youth homelessness. AHCU is proud to do their part in meeting this need. Hope4Youth's vision is to provide Youth safety, value, and support. Their primary principles are embedded within their namesake - HOPE, which are housing, outreach, prevention, and education/employment.
