Bloomington, Minn – On January 4, 2024 Members of Star Choice Credit Union approved the proposed merger with SharePoint Credit Union. At the conclusion of a special member meeting for Star Choice Credit Union, members overwhelming voted 94% in favor to merge with SharePoint. Collectively, Star Choice and SharePoint aim to bring together assets of $400 million, a workforce of 70 employees, and serve around 30,000 members across seven branches in the western suburbs of Minneapolis and St. Paul. “We are excited at this venture and the next steps it provides for the growth of our organization and our members. Our dedicated members, some of whom have been part of our community since our days as the Star Tribune Employees Credit Union, have shown remarkable support for this merger. The overwhelmingly positive vote reinforces the members trust and their acknowledgment of the numerous benefits this merger provides,” said Star Choice President/CEO Scott Olson. “The favorable member vote echoes our shared vision. It prioritizes our combined values, financial strength, and long-term growth.
