Youth Rock Hunt Announced as Part of Rock the Riverfront 2023

Royal Credit Union - EAU CLAIRE, Wis. – The RCU Foundation is excited to announce the start of their popular annual scavenger hunt for kids! The Youth Rock Hunt encourages families to get outside and explore their communities while searching for custom-engraved rocks. Winners will receive a Royal Credit Union Piggy Bank and $50 cash!

The Youth Rock Hunt is sponsored by Market & Johnson and will start the morning of June 2, 2023. Individuals, families, or groups can get involved in the hunt, but community members are encouraged to allow children 13 years old and younger to find the rocks and redeem the prizes.  There will be one rock hidden in each of the following communities: Altoona, Chippewa Falls, Colby, Eau Claire, Medford, Menomonie, Rice Lake and Whitehall for a total of 8 rocks and 8 chances to win. Additional clues will be released on Royal Credit Union’s social media channels on Monday, June 5 at 12 p.m. The Youth Rock Hunt will end when all rocks have been found or at 11:59 p.m. on June 10, 2023.  All details and rules can be found at rcu.org/Race.

Rock the Riverfront featuring the Charity Classic is celebrating 29 years of running and walking to support organizations that make a difference in the communities that Royal Credit Union serves.  The event will be held in-person on Saturday, June 24, 2023 in Eau Claire’s Phoenix Park and includes a 10K and 2 mile run/walk, ½ and ¼ mile youth races, family games, and food trucks. Proceeds from the 2023 event will benefit three workforce development organizations: Junior Achievement of Wisconsin Northwest Area, L.E. Phillips Career Development Center, and Workforce Resource, Inc.  Registration details are available at rcu.org/Race.
