In this position, Hurtgen will provide expertise, mentoring, and guidance to business department team members in relation to structuring and approving commercial loans. Hurtgen comes to Royal with over 23 years of financial service background. Hurtgen earned a bachelor’s degree in business finance with a minor in accounting, and an advanced business communications certificate from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire and completed the Graduate School of Banking program at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. Outside of work, Hurtgen is a board member for REACH Inc., a Town of Washington Planning Commissioner, and enjoys volunteer opportunities with programs that his children are active in, including the YMCA and Eagles Hoops Club. Hurtgen resides in Eau Claire with wife, Sara, and three kids, Rhys, Malena, and Brooks.
